Vacation (if you can call it that!)

We just came back from our first "vacation" as a family of 4. I say vacation because we did get to get away from our day to day life and travel together. But it was a lot of travel, and it was for a lot of different reasons.

We started out going to Rhode Islandto break up our drive, since Michael's project requires him to be there every Tuesday, we hitched a ride.We ALL woke up and were on the road by 4:00am. Keith was so excited, he talked the entire 4 hours. We dropped Michael off at the job site and continued to the Mystic Aquarium. It was a lot of fun. The weather could have been better, a little rainy, but we were ok. (let me put in a notethatGeorge was teething our entire trip & had lots of diaper changes that led to a very sore bottom)

We then picked Michael up from work and spent the night in a hotel. Whichwas VERY exciting to Keith. It was his first time in a "big boy bed" and he didn't fall off! We used the pool which was another highlight for my boys. All 3 of them!
We woke up the next morning and went to the Roger Williams Park Zoo. Super fun Zoo, even if it was a little rainy. Michael officially started his "vacation" and joined us. What a relaxing time for us (now we were 1-1 with the kids!)
We then drove up to Boston to see family & our family meetings. This was very fun too, and yes, there was a pool. We had a family picture taken at dinner one night.
We drove up to Maine on Friday for my cousin Brandon's college graduation. Along the way, we visited Great Mimi (Michael's grandmother) who hadn't met George yet.
THEN up to Wayne to my parents house.
Bran's graduation was Saturday. We are so proud of him! (the ceremony was 3 and a half hours...The kids did really well)
Sunday we went to Mimi's house (Michael's Mom) for brunch. Michael's sisters joined us. Amy finally got to meet George.
Michael, Melissa, Mimi (Martha), Amy & George, Meghan & Keith, Chris and Me.
Sunday we left and stopped by Great Nana's house (Michael's grandmother)
And Finally we drove back to Rhode Island, since it was Tuesday the next day and Michael went to work. We went to the Providence Children's Museum. Very fun and lots of hands on stuff perfect for Keith.

We drove home Tuesday night and arrived around 9:00pm. Phew! What a fun trip but LOTS of travel. We are all adjusting to being back home. Everyone is happy to be in their own beds. It was great to see all our our family and survive our first trip as a family of 4! Here's to another one in July!
