The most recent picture I have of my dear friend Angela and me if from my wedding, in 2006! The other pic is of her and her sweet boys. Can't you tell how much they adore her! I just talked to Ang the other day and it always makes me miss her and her wonderful family. Angela was the first person, besides my husband, who made me feel at home in California. When I moved there, I knew no one. I met my husband because a family friend gave me his number, and I called it. Through him, I met Christopher, his friend from college. And Ang is Christopher's wife. It's hard to believe I met them before they had kids, and now we both have two boys!
I always felt happy around Angela, she's such a loving and warm person. Angela always makes me feel great about myself. Always giving me compliments. She is such a great mom too, working full time and raising such great boys! I honestly don't know how she does it all.
We would go to the beach on their bikes and surf (or in my case, try to surf). I remember one of the reasons I was considering not moving away from San Diego were the Gerbers. They were always so sweet and even let me watch their sweet son Finn. I have always loved kids and Angela let me be there with them a lot while Finn grew up from a baby to a toddler.
I could go on and on about my friend Angela but honestly all I want to do is fly to San Diego, pick up my friend and drive to the beach and watch our kids play together. I really believe our kids would get along so well together. One day they will meet each other, and I will see my friend again. Until then, phone calls and skype will have to do, sigh. Thanks for being a ray of sunshine Ang. You're the best!
