With my son turning 2 in June, I was hoping to get a couple more months of not having to give time outs...We have entered the "terrible two's". He is still a sweet boy, don't get me wrong. He is just really trying to push limits and see what he can do and can't do. We have chosen to give him time outs when he's naughty. He doesn't quite get it yet, but at least it takes him away from the situation. We sit on the chair in the dining room and count to 10. Then i tell him what was wrong with his behavior. Hopefully he starts getting the idea that he doesn't "want" to be in time out, and then the "threat" will be enough.
Gotta love all of the new stages we are sharing together!
